We work to strengthen Global Majority-led organisations and their leaders, advance their holistic wellbeing while driving systemic change in the VCSE sector.
Our Mission
We support and strengthen leaders of the Global Majority by providing solution-driven consultation, leadership support, educational research and resources, and spaces of affirmation that take leaders out of survival mode and an energy of lack.
The leaders we support often bear the weight of systemic inequality while driving vital change in their communities. As two leaders of African heritage, with a combined 21 years of experience working in the VCSE sector, we see too often the lack of equity for funding, resources, and mentorship; creating a narrative for leaders who look like us, to accept “trickle down” access, leading to realities of scarcity and “unworthiness”.
Through our client work and our research, we address these narratives, not from a place of blame, but from a place of empowerment. For our clients and the industry, we create pathways for systemic change that redistribute wealth and opportunity and redefine what impact and leadership look like. We celebrate and uplift lived experience so that everyone is seen, heard and supported, in turn, allowing aligned and authentic support for all communities.
Our Vision
We envision a world where lived experience is not reduced to a token or buzzword, but recognised as expertise, honoured as a source of wisdom that drives real, measurable change.
We want to see a future where racial and gender inequality are eradicated, and where every person can live in dignity and worthiness, rooted in love, peace and collective action.
For this world to exist, leaders in the Global Majority who are doing vital community-based work, must have the safety, resources and support to serve fully and authentically. This means access to fair funding, operational stability and well-being support so that they can sustain themselves while sustaining their communities.
Our vision is that through supporting leaders operationally and individually, by bringing awareness to systemic inequality through quantitative and qualitative data, we contribute to building a more equitable economy and a safer, more just world. A world where these leaders are not ignored or expected to fight for survival, but are resourced, valued, and recognised in shaping solutions for their own communities.
Meet the team
Victoria Abrahams
Founder, Executive & Managing Director
My collective motivations centre on redefining and actively reshaping what social justice and equity look like in practical terms for communities of colour, from leadership through to funder. Since 2020, the 30+ leaders and organisations I’ve represented have shared this same commitment.
Coming from a background in human rights law, I moved into the VCSE/non-profit sector after serving as a community leader in the women’s health space both in the U.K. and East Africa. I bring first-hand experience of the demands, challenges, and transformative impact of community leadership. With over 15 years of experience as a fundraiser and advocate, I offer clients a strong blend of strategic insight and presentational awareness, grounded in a deep understanding of how the VCSE sector operates.
My advisory work has ranged from supporting large, multi-million charities on six-figure government contracts to guiding grassroots leaders who run micro-organisations on limited self-resources. I am excited to expand my consultancy practice to include Leadership Evolution and Mentoring programmes for Global Majority grassroots leaders.
As a second-generation immigrant from apartheid South Africa and someone who has personally experienced burnout from the pressures of sustaining a community-based organisation, I am deeply committed to empowering communities and leaders of colour through reducing reactive, survival-mode decision-making. Our programme supports leaders in reclaiming a sense of worthiness and groundedness that is central to the equity-centred approach that underpins my work.
Ashley Langham
Executive Director
I support mission-driven leaders, often Black- and women-led at the intersection of purpose, authenticity, and impact. I began my journey in the non-profit sector, working with NGOs in France to expand their reach to anglophone audiences, and my work has always been guided by justice, fairness, and equity.
With over six years’ experience, I specialise in strategic brand development consulting across venture capital, tech, education, non-profits, and wellness. My approach is rooted in spirituality and strategy, helping leaders and organisations refine their storytelling, thought leadership, and funding campaigns, and cultivate conscious, values-aligned leadership.
Alongside my strategic work, I have spent close to a decade practising as a psychic healer, supporting my clients through their spiritual growth and self-understanding through diverse modalities: yoga, Sekhem Reiki, psychic guidance and insight that pinpoints areas of growth and opportunity. When individuals understand themselves fully, they can serve their purpose, their communities, and themselves in ways that are authentic, impactful, and liberating. Please feel free to view my website www.thoughtfulthorough.com to learn more about the psychic and spiritual work I also offer, and which I bring to my advice within Grassroots2Growth.
Tripat Riyait
Consultant
As a Perfectionism Bodymind Coach, I help people recognise the habits and internal patterns that contribute to burnout, overworking, self-neglect and chronic stress.
My background includes understanding how stress affects the nervous system, the mind and the body, which informs the way I approach wellbeing and support. My work grew out of my own experience of navigating perfectionism, chronic stress and the long-term impact these patterns can have on mental, emotional and physical health. This lived understanding shapes the way I support others, which is practical, evidence-informed, compassionate and with a strong belief that sustainable change is possible for anyone. Through awareness of the connection between stress responses and behavioural patterns, I support clients in navigating perfectionism, burnout and anxiety, nervous system regulation, and emotional awareness.
I am particularly committed to supporting leaders who carry significant responsibility, often prioritising their community’s wellbeing before their own. I aim to help them strengthen their internal resilience, understand their limits without judgement and prevent perfectionist-related chronic stress.
